ABOUT

Yoga Chikitsa, the Primary series, is a reset for the body that, with time and commitment, can become the moving meditation it was designed to be.

In this special 2.5-hour ‘live’ on Zoom workshop, we will breakdown the primary series into sections and practice some proven techniques that will create lightness in the body and freedom in the transitions. We will also learn to overcome perceived limitations, physical and mental. 

There will be a Q&A session at the end of the workshop.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE BREAKDOWN

Surat Namaskar A&B - We’ll practice how to back off in order to progress. Perfect positioning every time will set the bar for a sense of ease in the series.

Standing Poses - We’ll focus on the dynamics of these 10 poses that will allow for natural movement from one to the next.

Sitting Poses - The 16 poses that exemplify Primary series are the fun part! Jump backs and jump throughs - so misunderstood. We’ll create a new relationships with them in this section.

Supine Poses - This section is a total spinal reset - these 11 poses are the most therapeutic part of the practice. We’ll approach this section with curiosity over performance.

Finishing Poses - Meant to seal in the great work you’ve done, we’ll allow for the deep rest to infuse the healing properties of the practice into our body, mind and soul.

+ Limited spots available,. pre-booking is essential.

+ Please bring your own mat. We'll be giving lots of space between each mat during practice. We’ll be taking necessary health precautions at the event, but do stay in if you're feeling unwell.

+ Please arrive 20 mins before to register.

+ If you'd need to cancel your booking, please message me at least 48 hours ahead so that we could give the spot to someone else who might want to join the event.

On Zoom

+ Do position your camera from the side or diagonally from the front so that I'd be able to follow your practice better.

+ Doors will open 15 mins before class begins, and will shut once class has started.

+ Participants are responsible for their own safety.
